In film, he starred in the 2011 science fiction film ''Super 8'' and the 2013 comedy-drama ''The Kings of Summer''. In 2020, he portrayed JD Vance in the drama ''Hillbilly Elegy'' and in 2023, he began playing the title role in the action thriller series ''The Night Agent''.
