Amanda Bynes

Bynes in February 2009 Amanda Laura Bynes (born April 3, 1986) is a former American actress. Bynes began her career as a child, appearing on the Nickelodeon sketch comedy series ''All That'' (1996–2000) and its spin-off series ''The Amanda Show'' (1999–2002). During her mid-teens, she played Holly Tyler on the WB sitcom ''What I Like About You'' (2002–2006), Kaylee in the teen comedy film ''Big Fat Liar'' (2002) and Daphne Reynolds in the comedy film ''What a Girl Wants'' (2003), and voiced Piper Pinwheeler in the animated film ''Robots'' (2005). As an adult, she starred as Viola Hastings in the romantic comedy film ''She's the Man'' (2006), Penny Lou Pingleton in the musical film ''Hairspray'' (2007), and Marianne Bryant in the comedy film ''Easy A'' (2010).

Bynes is heralded for her acting work in the 1990s and 2000s, winning a Critics' Choice Award and six Kids' Choice Awards among other accolades. In her highly publicized personal life, she has struggled with mental health and other issues, and was in a conservatorship from August 2013 to March 2022.
