Serani has published academic articles on the subject of depression and trauma as well as the books ''Living with Depression'', ''Depression and Your Child: A Guide for Parents and Caregivers,'' and ''Depression in Later Life: An Essential Guide'' (Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group).
