When asked to complete a presentation on a trailblazing woman, a young boy chooses actress and activist Betty White. His teachers and others aren't so sure, but the boy does his research with help from a woman in a mysterious hat, describing how Betty White wrote and produced her own shows at a time when women had few opportunities and became one of the most successful actresses in Hollywood. The boy also learns that Betty was a lifelong advocate for protecting animals, started a campaign to end bullying, and supported the LGBTQ community. At the end of his presentation, the boy gets a surprise from the mysterious helper.
