Girl with a camera

Margaret Bourke-White photographer a novel
Carolyn Meyer
Book - 2017

Young Margaret Bourke-White was different from most of her peers and dreamed of becoming a herpetologist. But while still in college, she became fascinated with photography. Her skill with the camera grew, and her fascination with nature expanded to a fascination with landscapes, architecture, trains, and bridges. Before long, Bourke-White became a sought-after photographer, traveling the United States and Europe, and eventually becoming the first female war photojournalist in World War II.
