Kit -
This collection consists of professional papers dealing with the operations of the reference desk and the early years of the history room at the Downtown Spokane Library. The latter would become the basis of the present Northwest Room. It includes correspondence from a colleague and professional newsletters. Of particular interest are a selection of scripts for two radio programs promoting reading and the library system. One program, entitled variously "Your Library and You" and "The Library Speaking," was broadcast during 1944. The other scripts are from the Margaret Smith Show which featured on KHQ during the 1940s and 1950s.
