The Criminal record's Spokane crime stories 1907

The Criminal record's Spokane crime stories 1907

[selected and edited by Steve Oliver]
Book - 2007

Spokane in 1907 was full of yeggs (safe-crackers) and hold-up men, prostitutes and wayward husbands. They traveled by horse and wagon, trolley car, and foot. A few moved around at breakneck speed in the newly invented automobile. Some died violent deaths in train wrecks, others at the hands of wives and lovers or in sudden fights in local saloons.
