Heroine began as Wells' award-winning solo performance, winning a Scottish Theatre Arts Trust Award and a Made in Scotland Award on its World Premiere at Assembly Rooms, in The Edinburgh Festival 2018. It is a fully realised story, but not without the humour that makes Danna a fully rounded person, who refuses to be a figure of tragedy.
