Echoes of yesterday

Creative Audio & Video Inc ; produced by Donald Ball ; written and directed by Lon Gibby
videorecording (VHS) - 1979

In 1939, Howard T. Ball was hired to remove 1388 Indian graves along the Columbia River to higher ground so they would not be covered by the lake formed by the completion of Grand Coulee Dam. Ball filmed the river as it originally flowed as well as the work parties exhuming the graves (in color film). His original footage has been incorporated in this film along with an interview with H.T. Ball. Includes comparisons of the Columbia River of today with the original river.
