Two scrapbooks created by the Tillmans on vacations in 1954 and 1955. The first scrapbook is of a trip to Mount Rainier National Park from July 27 to August 4, 1954. The second scrapbook is labeled, "Trips of 1955," and includes Wallowa Lake, July 3rd to 7th, Mount Revelstoke National Park (in British Columbia) from August 2nd to August 10th, and Spirit Lake, from August 12th to August 25th. Each scrapbook includes ephemera picked up on the trip, including postcards, decals, passes, and brochures. Also included are descriptions of the trip written on the scrapbook pages. The 2nd scrapbook also included some loose black and white photographs taken on the trip.

545 0 |a Casey Tillman was born in Milwaukee in 1885 and came to Spokane in 1916 to teach commercial law at Gonzaga until 1921. He then attended Gonzaga's Law School and graduated in 1928. He practiced law for a short period of time, and then was employed by the Internal Revenue Service from the late 1920s until his retirement in 1959. He was also a veteran of World War I. He died in 1977. Lydia E. Tillman was born in Danube, Minnesota in 1902. She moved to Spokane in 1930 and married Casey J. Tillman in 1946. Lydia Tillman worked as a first grade teacher in remedial reading in Spokane for thirty-four years.
