A graphic novel telling the true story of Gail Ruffu, a horse trainer who in order to save the life of a thoroughbred named Urgent Envoy--a horse whose co-owners ran him too soon so that he got a hairline fracture--rescued and fled with him in the night. She successfully kept Urgent Envoy hidden and evaded police investigators, refused to give the horse up, taught herself law by night, and took on an L.A. attorney in court to stand up for the humane treatment of racehorses.
