One small photo album belonging to Corinne Babcock, a teacher at Brunot Hall in Spokane. Many photos are not labeled, but pictures of Brunot Hall include the building, the grounds, pageants, students in plays, the 1914 Commencement ceremony, Bishop Wells, and Canon Bliss. Teachers and students at the school are well represented, though only sometimes identified. Other photographs include some scenes around Spokane, Spirit Lake, Idaho, teepees in Indian Canyon, and the Bowl and Pitcher. Some of the names identified in the album are Helen Orvis, Mary Ella Cook and some other employees of the school, whose names are difficult to read.

| 545 | 0 | |a Very little information is available on Corinne Babcock, except that she was a teacher at Brunot Hall in Spokane from 1912 to 1915. She was the sister of Thorpe Babcock (1885-1979), lumberman and author of Broke at Forty-Five. Brunot Hall, an Episcopal girl's school, was founded by Bishop Wells around 1893. Mrs. Julia P. Bailey was first a teacher and then the principal of the school. It closed in 1917. | |
