In her second year at Pearl Famous Academy of Skate and Sword--where students learn Wu Liu, an art form that blends figure skating with martial arts--Peasprout looks to reclaim her champion status. But when a transfer student, Yinmei (actually the heir to the Shinian throne) arrives with unnaturally impressive skills, Peasprout suspects she is a spy. Then the Shinian Empress Dowager threatens to invade Pearl, so Peasprout decides to team up with Yinmei as part of her battleband--a team that is part musical spectacle and part defense strategy--to determine what her intentions are.
