Cece Rios lives in the remote town of Tierra del Sol, a place where powerful spirits called criaturas terrorize the inhabitants. Cece thinks there's more to the criaturas than meets the eye, but brujas, humans who capture and control criaturas, are the only people who can interact with them. When her sister Juana is kidnapped by El Sombrerón, a powerful dark criatura, Cece will stop at nothing to get her back. In order to do so, Cece realizes she'll have to become a bruja herself and keep it a secret from everyone she knows. With the help of the legendary criatura Coyote, Cece embarks on a dangerous adventure to rescue her sister.
