Boy from Buchenwald
Book - 2021
Recounts the story of Holocaust survivor Romek Wajsman and a group of other boys who survived the Buchenwald concentration camp. Angry, starved, and traumatized by their abuse, he and the other boys turned to stealing and fighting as a release. The boys were thought irredeemable by many, until they were rescued by a Rabbi named Herschel Schacter and scientist Albert Einstein and brought to a home for rehabilitation.
