In 2024 Loudon played a short residency at Nell's Jazz and Blues in London. Because the shows were being recorded, alongside some of his current favourites, he took the opportunity to include some brand-new material of his own and a few perfectly executed cover versions of songs by others that he has admired over the years. The twenty-one tracks that made it onto this album make it an essential addition to the three previously released live albums that dot the discography of his fifty-plus-year recording career. As can be expected, this is a fine example of the man doing what he does best. It is another chapter in this remarkable life that's been preserved to the artist's satisfaction to the extent that he is happy to share it with the world in the form of this commercial 2-CD set release.
