The friendship between a Central Park Zoo lion and zebra is tested when Marty the zebra's longing to explore ultimately leaves them stranded on the savage shores of Madagascar; follows the Central Park Zoo animals as they leave Madagascar to become stranded in the middle of Africa; the Central Park Zoo animals find their attempt to get home threatened by Animal Control, so they disguise themselves as members of a traveling circus.
