Things are not going well in Georgia's life. Her mother is going back to school and her father is falling deeper into alcoholism, so she's sent to stay with her great-aunt in the country. There, she meets a girl named Angela, and they discover a magical lake that can grant wishes. Georgia hopes the lake will fix all her problems, but things soon threaten to spiral out of control.
