Clues to the universe

Ro and Benji become friends after they accidentally switch their seventh grade science folders. Both have lost their dads--Ro's to a sudden death and Benji's to his leaving some years back. Benji believes his dad is the author of his favorite comic book and believes he can reach him by deciphering clues. Ro agrees to help him find his dad, if he helps her with her science project, sending them both down a path with trials and healing.
