Revolution

Deborah Wiles
Book - 2014

It is the summer of 1964, and Sunny is told that her Mississippi town is going to be invaded by people from the north. All they are there for is to help African Americans register to vote--a small thing to Sunny, whose life is turned upside down by a new stepmother, stepbrother, and stepsister. Further complicating things is the fact that she and her brother were caught sneaking into a public pool, where a mysterious boy enters and changes their lives.
