In this graphic novel sequel, Jen has been adjusting to life on Peapod Farm with her mom, her mom's new boyfriend, and her stepsisters, Andy and Reese. Jen is dreading the start of middle school in the fall, but hopes that having Andy along will make the transition easier. Lately however, Andy only seems interested in boys, including the neighbor, Eddie. When school does start, Jen finds the adjustment difficult and cringes at the pressure to be interested in boys. As she continues to adjust to her new life and school, Jen does make friends through her artistic talents and finds ways to be brave in the face of bullying.
