On the last day of seventh grade, Maya gets nominated by the mean, popular girl to inform Maya's BFF, Jaime, that she is being kicked out of their friend group. Eager to please, Maya agrees. Jaime, sensing something is wrong with Maya spends an awkward day wondering why her friends are ostracizing her. The two girls go through the day and Jaime discovers a new, more supportive group, and Maya realizes how she doesn't want to be pushed around by mean girls.
