Death of a Chef

by Alexander Campion
large type - 2013

Police Judiciaire Commissaire Capucine Le Tellier takes a frantic call from Ceécile, her best friend, who just bought a fabulously expensive vintage Louis Vuitton steamer trunk at the Paris Flea Market. The trunk contains the naked body of a man who seems to have blown his head off. Capucine's restaurant critic husband identifies the body as uber-chef Jean-Louis Brault, who had been rumored to be an inch away from losing his third Michelin star. Is the death a suicide?
